CHAIN MEMBERS - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Introduction
CHAIN is an online mutual support network of people working in health and social care. CHAIN is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with our obligations under data protection legislation. With effect from 25th May 2018, the main data protection law will be the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

CHAIN provides a Membership Service that enables those who work in health and social care to:
- access the online CHAIN Directory, enabling you to find and communicate with other members of the network.
- post questions or seek advice from a rich and diverse pool of members' experience
- receive regular email updates on resources, activities and opportunities relevant to your interest.

By registering with CHAIN you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Registration and Membership
1. Applications for Membership of CHAIN are made via the website. By submitting the application online, the Member is deemed to have signed the application form.

2. A Member is anyone who registers on the CHAIN website as an individual.

3. CHAIN reserves the right at all times and at its absolute discretion to accept or reject applications for Membership as it feels appropriate.

4. Upon registration you will become a Member of CHAIN and gain full access to the CHAIN membership service.

5. You can review or withdraw your membership any time.

6. CHAIN may terminate your Membership in accordance with these Terms and Conditions

Members' Responsibilities
1. All registration details that you provide to us are true and correct and you will inform us when your details change. To report changes in your details, or to request for the removal of your record please contact enquiries@chain-network.org.uk

2. You agree that when you register with CHAIN, the information you have provided on your registration form will be entered into a directory held by CHAIN and will be shared over the web with other CHAIN members.

3. As a member of a mutual support network you should be willing to share your experience as appropriate. Other members may contact you from time to time.

4. You will only use the CHAIN Directory for work-related networking. You will not use it for any commercial purposes such as direct marketing. When contacting other CHAIN members please mention you are a member of CHAIN.

5. CHAIN will contact you every six months asking you to review your membership record. If your contact details have changed and you do not notify CHAIN of these changes your record may be removed from the Directory.

6. It is your responsibility to keep your log-in details confidential. We are not responsible for any breach of your privacy due to your failure of keeping your log-in details secure.

CHAIN's Responsibilities
1. We will not share the information you have provided with anyone other than CHAIN members without your permission.

2. We will seek to ensure that the CHAIN Directory is kept secure and is not accessed by unauthorised individuals or organisations.

3. We will contact you every six months asking you to review your membership details.

4. We will not use the information you have provided on my registration form for any purposes other than those consistent with the functions of CHAIN.

5. We will use your data to administer your membership, and to ensure that we target email updates which are relevant to your areas of interest

6. We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time at our discretion.
